When Did We Get So Messed Up?

After Christ came and went... After the Disciples planted the early churches... What happened? Where did witch hunts and anything not fitting "the mold" being a tool of Satan come from?

After Jesus came and left and the apostles planted the early churches, things were still not right. Paul had barely left most of the churches before they had already stated falling into idolatry and quarrels and false teachings and philosophy which led to all kinds of bad. The whole reason we have the New Testament (aside from the gospels) is because of all the correction that Paul and the others had to do. The catholic church prior to the reformation is a good example of this, followed by the reformed radicals and of coarse the crusades. But all this didn't just start after Jesus. The whole reason why Jesus came was because humans for all of time have forsaken God and rejected his messengers. So my answer to when did we get so messed up, is Genesis chapter 3, when humans decided to take matters into their own hands, rather than trust and obey God. The witch hunts were a bunch of emotional radicals who were mad that they had been lied to and used and oppressed by the holy roman empire/catholic church, and were all hopped up on adrenaline wanting to go the opposite way.
